Quick Access Tool Bar Word 2013

I want to know if there is a way to open a particular file from the quick access tool bar in Word 2010.

I don't use Word 2013 but if the QAT is similar to that in Word 2010 then you can:
    > Open Customize Quick Access Toolbar
    > Select (check) Open Recent File in the list

Next, create your template file and save it to the desired location.

When the user clicks the Open Recent File icon on the QAT the program opens the File > Recent tab of Word where the list is presented - the last saved file (the template above) will be the first file listed.

When a user create a document from the template they must save it as a .DOCX (or .DOC) file and NOT as a template file (unless they really want to do that).
