Office 2010 help takes me to chrome to display help topics

MS Office 2010 offline help takes me to chrome and then displays the concerned help files from C:/users......temporary internet files. Does that mean help files are not installed properly? Images in help files do not load.

Hi & welcome to the Forum.

Office help files are not stored on your computer, when you select them you are taken to MS Office help file database via the internet.

On the laptop, the help files do not load images properly. Like the bullets beside "over to top" etc.
Will post screenshots in the evening.
Is there a way to store them pn laptop itself? Like the Windows 7 help content?

How are you accessing the Office help files. I am using Office 2013 & I click on the little ? up on the top right hand corner, when I need the help files. This opens a small window with a Search panel in it. As far as I know it does not use your browser.

Just a suggestion from a non expert, me.

Try what Ranger4 has suggested (Post 7) with your computer unhooked from the internet and see what you get.

That is exactly how it works on my office PC which has Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
