Find a 'Lost' Macro in Word 2000
Call me a Luddite, but Word 2000 does what I want (most of the time) and I can format routine documents nearly automatically.
I know that I once had a very useful "Edit Paste Special Unformatted Text" assigned to 'CTRL SHFT V.' I think I lost it when I reinstalled Office after installing Win 7/Pro x64 in the spring of 2014. I've put off trying to find it or recreate it, but it was a very useful macro.
I know that I have copies of my OS/Programs drive on an external HDD from before 2014 that should contain the macro. I've looked using ZTreeWin and cannot find it. I used 'show all' for all the *.dot files.
Should I be able to find the 'CTRL SHFT V' hot key in one of these template (*.dot) files? If so, what syntax should I use in my search? If I find it, how to I recreate it?
I found a couple of suggested macros in the Windows Secrets archives but both macros just close the open, blank document into which I want to do the Paste Special.
