    Macro To Perform Redundant Excel Tasks


    Hi,

    I am trying to extract information from one program, then import it into Excel. Well, the format it is extracted is not the format that is what I need. So, I have been manually deleting all the unneeded rows. My question is there a macro or C-Plus program that can delete these rows for me?

    The rows I want to delete will not have data in the first column, where the ones I want to keep do. What is the easiest way to doing this, macro, C-Plus, etc.? And, if it is a macro, is there a macro you recommend? Or, can someone create this for me since I am not a programmer.

    I'm not a programmer and cannot write anything for you.

    But......

    I use an Excel macro that I did write with help from others. It contains maybe 20 lines of code. When run, it copies all data from a row to the row immediately below it.

    I did the coding within Excel using the "Developer" tab. I'd guess it could be done with the C language if you insisted, but I woudn't think it's necessary.

    My best advice would be to go to an Excel specialist website such as the Mr. Excel forums, which you can find with Google.

uac crashes excel macro

Hi, I am having a problem when I try to run an excel macro addin (ie vba functions) that calculates some statistics, it doesn't work. Shows permission denied. When I turn off UAC, It works. Is there any fix for this? Turn UAC on and off is too annoying...cos u need to reboot each time.
