How do I find a hidden Word Document

I saved a Word document in documents folder. I can't see the document in the folder nor in the search. When I save a new document with the same name, I get a message 'File already exist'. I tried using the 'Show hidden files and folders' option, but I still don't see the Word document.

    Please help.

    Hey Ranger4!

Thanks for the help. I used that method and it didn't work.
There is something else I did. I opened a new document and opened the saving option. When the Save window opened, I searched for the hidden document, which I found. I copied this document and pasted it in another folder. I could open the document from the other folder.

I'm wondering though, how many other documents I might have saved and are hidden somewhere on my laptop.

    Cheers!!!

At least you have found that document. The only way you would know how many other documents you have saved & hidden would be if you could not find them.

You should probably check on your documents saving strategy to make sure they are saved where you want them saved.
