    Outlook 2013 password prompt

Recently, Outlook has been taking longer to open and a prompt has been appearing asking me to enter a user name and password for the following server. I double checked server settings, clicked "save password" and it keeps on happening. I tried creating a new account so I could delete the "broken" one and Outlook sits there not responding.

Doing a repair using the control panel as I type this.

A quick repair did nothing. Had to do an "online repair". Everything works as it should now.

Bringing this thread back to life as it's happening again. Just started today actually.
Outlook 2013 is updated and so is Windows 7 Pro.

I found those links when I first had the issue.

I don't use a domain password but I followed the work around anyways (let's see if that helps).
My version of Outlook updates automatically.

You have stated that you have checked your settings, but have you actually contacted your Internet Provider to see if they are correct. Sometimes a call for passwords will show up if some of these settings are not exactly right.

My passwords are correct as I've not changed anything. What would I contact my service provider (Comcast) for? IMAP server settings? I removed the stored credentials following this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/2762344
and it looks like Outlook is working properly again.

Hopefully that will fix the problem.
