Windows 7: Power Point 2010 Action Buttons

Power Point 2010 Action Buttons

I'm putting together a training module for my workgroup using Power Point. The presentation has about 8 slides. Each slide has a 2-3 minute video for my audience to view. I would like to delay the appearance of the navigation control (advance to next slide action button) until after the video has played. I can't seem to find how to animate an action button. Is this possible to do?

Hello and welcome:

If I understand correctly, you do not want the viewers to be able to advance to the next slide until they have watched the video?

I am on my Win10 box with Office2016, so I cannot test this on my Win7/Office 2010 box.
And I suspect that there's no way in PPT itself to force the viewers to watch the video before they advance to the next slide...

But there are some ways to control the triggers and timing of animation effects.
Perhaps something here might help:

Trigger an animation effect - PowerPoint
Set the animation timing or effect options - PowerPoint

The other alternative would be to use a 3rd-party software, such as Camtasia, to make a video of the whole presentation?
