Word 2010 - printing blank page when using bigger fonts - check file

    Hello everyone!

Today I tried to print some stickers with bigger font. Printing only produces blank pages, creating PDF also. Could you check this file and help me how to configure Word to print this document correctly? Is this a confirmed bug in Word 2010? I managed to create proper PDF file with Word 2016 on my friends' laptop, but I still have problem with three my computers with Office 2010.

Hi buaser, welcome to the Forum.

Are you using label sheets for the stickers?. If so it may be that your font selection is to big for the labels. Try using a smaller font size. Labels still need a bit of clearance at the top & bottom.

Also for printing labels you need to select the right one from the listed selection in Word. From your attached file it looks like these are very big & seem to fill a whole page. So could you get back with some more information about the actual size details please. As far as I know this is not a bug in Word.

Thanks for your reply. I just simply click Print (I use standard A4 paper size) and it produces blank pages which is not happening with my friends Word 2016, no additional configuration, just ignores the letters (one letter is preserved in the middle of file, maybe it's because the last letter of the word). For me it seems to be an unpatched bug in Word 2010 as I can reproduce it in these simple steps. Decreasing font size is not the solution for me as I need prints with this size.

Anyone has any additional idea how to deal with it?

Have a look at your page set up, such as top & bottom margins & side margins. Use your friends Word 2016 page measurements if their computer works OK.

The next thing is to look at your printer & see if there are any settings that might need to be changed.

My Word 2010 and friends' 2016 are using the same page settings, same margins and so - I'm trying to save as PDF as I do on my friends computer. One of my computers doesn't have configured any physical printer and the problem occurs in the same way...

Have a look at this MS website. Where it asks what you what program select Word, it should then scroll down to Word 2010.

This website might also help as you can download a free PDF creator.

Calibri, something about 800 points. Which works flawlessly for my friend, I paid a lot for 2010 version and have to send him files to convert to PDF... Very sad... Please help :'(
