Microsoft Excel and Windows re-arranged links to Roaming App Data

I have made this spreadsheet that is supposed to work on more than one Windows 7 -10 computers. The spreadsheet uses photos and they are embedded into the cells and they have a hyperlink to their location They live C:\MT FILES See that way I can copy the spreadsheet and the MT FILES directory to a laptop or another sales guys computer and he can easly see the big versions of the pictures. Copy them and put them in an email.

But I copied the spreadsheet to my home computer and it no longer wants to use the location I told it.
Microsoft re-arranged things so the files are located in the roaming app data folder.
I dont want that.

THIS IS NOT THE LOCATION I TOLD EXCEL TO LOOK:
.\Users\MTC%20COMPANY\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\MT27-CheyenneClubChair.jpg
this is not where my pictures are located ! they are located in C:\MT FILES. I originally hyperlinked them to C:\MT FILES so the Picture/spreadsheet would work out on the other computers. But some how some way they have been changed to this other location behind my back without my knowledge the hyperlinks were changed.

I never hyperlinked the pictures to .\Users\MTC%20COMPANY\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel
I never put my pictures at this location. C:\MT FILES is there location. and thats where I originally hyperlinked to. They are located there in C:\MT FILES Not anyplace else I dont want them any place else.
So I have Three Questions:
Why Did Windows and Excel change my link and data location ?
how do I prevent Microsoft from re-arranging my links in excel ?
How do I change the links back to the original location I gave it so the spreadsheet functions. ?

Thank you
