Working with equations on Word 2016

Any Office experts around?

I'm having issues when working with formulas. See next pic:




Large Operators turn smaller when copy-paste, grrrr.

Note that it is set as "Display" not "Inline"


Also working with equations on Excel 2016. Wish I could have something like this, see the red characters:
