    MS Excel 2016, cannot open xls files located on network


    Hi,

    When i create a hyperlink for a file (.xlsx, which is located on network ) in excel.
    Excel is pointing me this:

    after pressing OK
    https://i.imgur.com/nOijh9N.png and it stays like that...

    For other documents is working, but I do not know what to do else.
    A solution ?

    Hi al3xc0s4, welcome to the Forum.

    Is the network part of a company working network, if so you will need to get help from the company IT section to fix it for you.

    If it's a private situation you may need to change some settings in your Anti Virus program or to the Firewall to allow certain files through.

    You could also try an Office Repair. To do that, open Control Panel, select Programs & Features, scroll down to Microsoft Office, Right click on it & select Change, this should open a couple of Repair options you can run.
