    Setting default font in MS Word


    Something happened to my MS Word and the default font changed from Times New Roman to Calibri. I have gone into the font menu and set the default, but it doesn't work.I It always goes back to Calibri. Is there a way to set a default font for all of Win7 or some other way to make this work?
    I'm running MS Word 2010 on Win7 home 64 bit.

    MS Word default font - problem solved


    I think I solved my own problem. I noticed others posting about a similar, but not the same issue and someone mentioned the normal template. That was the problem. When I changed the normal template to coincide with "the current document" that locked in Times New Roman, 12 pt.

Hello, Have been using WORD 2007. No problems. But, I just downloaded and installed Open Office. But I only want to use it for its Spreadsheet. However, it looks like its word processing component has taken over. Now, my WORD documents are being opened by Open Office which I do not want....
Every time I begin a new message, the same font and size come on, unbidden. I do see how to reset them every time, but how can I can I reset them so that my own choices appear automatically?

Sorry to have to ask but have looked everywhere - in here / Google etc etc on how to change the default font and it's size in Windows Live Mail. But just cannot find how to do it can someone give me shove in the right direction please?
For some reason, the automatic color has been set to gray. Any word document that I open up is in gray... I've tried going to the font dialog and setting the default color to black but it didnt chance the automatic color. please help!
