How create or print Word doc in landscape mode?

Maybe this is obvious, but I can't seem to find the solution. If I write a Word document that is wider than the standard portrait mode, how do I rotate to landscape view? Or how do I print in landscape mode?

In Word 2013 you can select Page Orientation from the Page Layout menu at top.

You may also have to change your printer settings to print in landscape, which should be available when you select Print from Word & the printer program opens it should allow you to set the orientation & the number of pages etc..

This MS website should help you.

I remember in the Print from Word there should be "Advance" section where you can choose vertical, horizontal, size A4 or A3, etc. And in the doc file, it should have Page orientation tool.

As Ranger said, make sure you set both the Word editing screen and the Word print properties to Landscape.

Using an old version of Word. Don't see any button to rotate or change to landscape.

You have not mentioned what version of Word you are using. This You Tube video explains how to set landscape mode for Word 2003.

Word 2003 Page Orientation - YouTube

When requesting help, please supply all information relevant to your question. May I suggest that you check all the items in the Menu at the top of each Word document, where you would have found what you are looking for.

You will also probably need to change the page orientation when you access your printer to print the document.

Thanks Ranger. Looks like I have a 2000 version of Word. That 2003 video was close but found it by going to File,Page setup, Paper size, Orientation.

Why people? Why not just press ctrl+p, and in the printer properties, just change the orintation there? You guys are making it harder than it needs to be, lol.

Because I may also want to create the page in landscape, not just print it like that.
