Help with different headers and footers on a converted Word document

    Hi!

    I need URGENT help, PLEASE!!!

I'm a translator working on an old XP desktop computer. I use Word 2007, and I get sent PDFs for translation. I need to convert these files into Word for delivery, but sometimes the format becomes a real nightmare!

This time I have already spent numerous hours trying to mirror a document that has different headers and footers. I already looked this up, and I already know how to un-link the different sections.

HOWEVER, by the third page, if I try to delete the footer, it DELETES THE PREVIOUS FOOTERS AS WELL. WTF??

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it because I'm dealing with a converted document? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!! I'm new here and have no idea if this is a topic that has been covered in the past.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi valgirl60, welcome to the Forum.

What method are you using to convert the PDFs to Word. Are you using Adobe Acrobat Reader for this or some other program.

Just as a suggestion, have you tried making a new copy of the converted document in Word & seeing if that has the same problem. The advantage of trying this is that you still have the original if you ruin it.
