Outlook 2016 pasted text turns to underlined green

    Thanks for the clarification.

    I'm using Notepad to 'deformat' text from other sources.

    Word was only mentioned because posters in other forums suggested that Word 'track changes' settings also applied to Outlook.

    The first 2 suggestions appear not to apply. I've just explored the final one - and there's a risk of introducing unwanted changes.

    PS when the thread was first started, Office was on Version 1807 (Build 10325.20118 Click-to-Run), it's now Version 1808 (Build 10730.20088 Click-to-Run). This problem wasn't evident a few months ago.
