Suggest a Safe Source For the Math Fonts A, B, C For Word 2000

I had a bad experience today trying to download the Math B font for Word 2000. I know I had them installed when I was running XP.

Does anyone have a reliable font source that will give me access to the Math A, Math B, and Math C fonts?

I found a 'slick and official looking' website called "sway.office.com" that opened hard to close windows. That led to my running Malwarebytes (time to update) and next thing I knew I had a 'free trial version' to track for 13 days...UGH

I even Googled "'sway.com' safe" and managed to miss this hit:

Tag: Sway.com | My Online Security
Tag: Sway.com | My Online Security

Apr 10, 2018 - Another new malware delivery method today for Gootkit banking trojan. This is the first time I have seen Microsoft Sway involved in a malware ...

The other hits all described a new MS tool.

    Malwarebytes found:

    NSCB86.TMP\UNINSTALLER.EXE, Quarantined, [0], [392686],1.0.7461

    thanks

I don't think you need a font for Word per say. All you need is a font for Windows its self and Word should be able to use it. Though, I'm not sure since I don't use Word or even LibreOffice all that much.

I checked some free font websites and I really can't find a Math A-C font. When ever you download something immediately head on over to www.virustotal.com and scan the download.

You may now want to run Herdprotect portable. Then research what it finds before removal. Herdprotect uses 68 anti-virus engines so it's likely to find false positives. You may have to run it twice.

    Download Portable herdProtect 1.0.3.9 Beta

The official site for Herdprotect doesn't allow you to download their program right now for what ever reason, but you can use the portable version.

Does this site have what you need? Fonts matching 'math' - FontSpace

    Edit-

Okay, I just installed a font in Windows called Tomatoes and I was able to use it in LibreOffice. So I assume the same approach for a font used in Word.

Here is a tutorial on how to install fonts on a Windows computer Fonts - Install - Windows 7 Help Forums.

I also found the Math B font available at this site : Math B Free True Type Font - ufonts.com. My browser confirms that there is a secure connection to this webpage.

    Thank you both, very much.

I recently had retinal surgery in my 'good eye' and it is another month before it will be stable enough to be checked for new lens prescriptions. It is so easy to miss 'the fine print' on web pages.

    thanks

I downloaded Math A, Math B, and Math C. I see them in C:\Windows\Fonts. They are all symbol fonts. How do I get Word 2000 to display them in Insert>Symbol?

I continue to use Office 2000 because as the years accumulate you have fewer years left to adapt to a new paradigm. It does (most of) what I want to do. I can do routine tasks quickly and without effort.

    thanks
