    word document cannot be deleted

    I use Windows 7 and Word 2010.
With some word documents that I have opened and close afterwards I can no longer delete this file.
I get a message that it is still being opened by word and that is not correct.
    Is there a solution?
    Thanks for any answer.

    Very strange!
    Are they set as Templates?
Can you delete the files through cmd prompt?

Look for the file to be deleted in Explorer => right-click it => Properties => General tab => Location. This will give you the full path. Then go into an elevated command prompt and type del followed by a space followed by the full path => Enter.

You can Copy the full path from the Location and Paste it [you need to use the mouse right-click and Paste for this as CTRL+V doesn’t work] into the elevated command prompt window and press Enter

    I hope this helps!

    OK, it works!
    Much thanks.
I did shift and right click with the mouse on the map and choose the cmd window in the menu, so I had the cmd window in the map and could write only the name of the file.
