    MS Word and Excel password protection


    Office 2010 and Windows 7 Professional.
    Use passwords for confidential Word and Excel files but saw somewhere that MS password protection is not secure. You knowledgeable opinion please.

    In theory it's encrypted with AES128, but I have heard credible reports of them broken using a VBA script, amongst other methods.

    I would zip the files using 7ZIP and the .7z format and use the AES256 password encryption option instead - that has never been broken (there is a still a bounty out on it, and so far it's unclaimed).

Hello, Using WORD 2007. Would like, for the first time, to Password a document I am working on in WORD. Just can't find where I do this. Just a simple password kind of protection where it asks for a password before it will open the document up for reading and/or editing.
Password protection for folders

Can anyone tell me if you can password protect individual folders ?,Im using Windows 7 home premium 32 bit.
coming back from sleep mode? From some reason Windows 7 doesn't automatically do this. I looked through the Control Panel and I guess I am missing it?
