Word only shows 80% of the page that I am working on.

I do not know what I did, but now when I open a new page in Word my screen only shows 80% of the page. The other 20% is off to the right side of the page. The document prints okay, it just does not show on my screen. Can anybody help me?

    Thank you.

Is the font size bigger than normal? If yes, CTRL - [holding control key and not-fast clicking minus key] may fix the problem.

Thank you for helping me. Yes, the font is larger. I help the CNTR key and pressed the - key many times and nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

Thank you for helping me. I tried page layout but that did not help. The page displayed is 8 1/2X 11, it is just too big for the computer screen. It prints fine, It just over runs the screen.

    Thank you

You need to leave the Paper size as it is and just change the zoom setting on the monitor Depending on the version of word you are using you need to find the correct command ...

You need to go to the View Menus and then find the zoom option. you should have a number of set sizes for the zoom, full size/100% - page width - One Page ... or similar to view the whole page select the "one page" or "single page" option

I find that on most monitors the best view for entering text is actually Page width which gives the a good readable text size and shows the complete page width

    check this out ...

    Thank you for helping me.

I am not very computer savvy, so I could not get this to work. I can not find "Customize" or "Zoom". But I did try.

    Thank you

Which version of Word (office) are you running?

There may be slight differences from the methods shown in the Video in different versions

Mine does not show "Views". All I have is "File". "Home", "Page Layout", and "Mailings".

    Thank you for writing me,
