    Windows cannot find 'C:\ Program Files(X86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\

This started after attempting to remove AVG antivirus and get VIPRE antivirus updated. I am getting messages from VIPRE that I don't have enough space to run the installation. I cannot get them to reply to email or phone requests for support. I'm not sure if I have any virus protection at this point. Also, I can open folders in my Documents but cannot open individual pdf files. JPEG files open o.k. I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard whose print screen function quit working a couple of weeks ago. I have a wireless printer (also HP) that will print but scan function, at least from the device, quit working yesterday. As you may guess, I am not particularly computer savvy. May give the Geek Squad a try as I am paid up. It was suggested somewhere that I may have a registry problem. Is that a possibility and will any of the 'Fixes' offered online work? Can anyone recommend one if that may be the problem? My computer is 12 years old - HP p7-1010, sp1, x64.
Thank you for all help anyone can provide.
