Outlook 2007 gives constant previewer errors

I'm a newbie when it comes to 64-bit Windows, but that's where the future is, so that's where I'm going.

Anyway, mine's running very, very nicely in a VMWare Fusion virtual machine. Outlook 2007 (MS Office 2007 Premium Plus package) runs excellently, too. It does seem to be installed as a 32-bit version (in the C:/Program Files (x86) folder), not as 64-bit...

That said, I find that NONE of the previewer plugins work in the preview window, not the picture viewer, not the text viewer, not Word or Excel. I currently don't have a PDF viewer installed, mostly because I just haven't gotten around to it. So, has anyone else run into something like this? Am I missing a registry key or something? Any sort of help would be appreciated.

    Blessings.

System Specs: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit | VMWare Fusion 3 Virtual Machine on Mac OS X Snow Leopard | Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz Processor | 2 GB of 4 GB RAM allocated | 40 GB Virtual HDD on 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD | AVG Free 9 | MS Office 2007 Premium Plus | Firefox 3.5

Previewers not working in Outlook 2007

I am also having the same problem in that none of the previewers will work. I always receive the error that the file can not be previewed because of an error with which ever previewer it is. Like you, I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 in a virtual machine, with VMWare Fusion 3.0. I have tried many things, none of which have worked. Any suggestions from anyone?

And now, to compound the issue, Word, if closed, won't open double-clicked Word documents ... even after a restart. I'm thinking of unistalling and re-installing.

I found a fix that worked for me on another message board. Here is the link. You have to edit the registry file, and then schedule a task to keep it that way.
