The MS Office 2007 working perfectly and smoothly with Windows 7 ver 7048. Try again.
Any insight on what you are seeing as far as messages as to why it won't load? I don't know where you got the build, but maybe there is a problem with it. Was this a clean install of 7048?Since upgrading to 7048 this morning Ive not managed to get any office 2007 app to load. Are there any known fixes about?
Working a ok here on x86 7048 :)
Including getting the service pack/updates from win update...
Maybe yu have ati tray tools installed?
Wth att any ms program works
Hi,I've just installed the full package ,and the updates /servicepack came in and everything is looking good,no problems so far.
No problems here. No fixes, mods etc. Just a straight install.
I do have the same problem on all x64 builds of Windows 7: the start menu shortcuts of Office 2007 do not work. I can start all programs directly (by opening the exe files inf C:\Program Files (x86)\...) and I also can open a doc file, for example. When I manually create a shortcut to the exe file, it also works.
It's just the default shortcuts in the start menu (which are created during setup) that don't work. When I open the properties of such a shortcut, the "Target location" field is empty (and can not be edited). The "Target" field says: "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007". So obviously, the shortcuts were created incorrectly, because they don't contain any path information to the target?
Regards!
I think it was a permissions issue. I had to remove the shortcuts and put them back on.
Im now on 7057 having formatted and have no issues.
I am also having no luck with starting any component of Office 12 (window 7048, I think everything worked in Windows 7000 build). I can get them to work if a: Use program compatibility wizard or (best, lauch from explorer the file directly in programs files, ec. directory.
As one pointed out, the startup shortcuts seem to be corrupt.
