Double check your imap settings in Gmail. Worse case scenario, I would remove the account from outlook, then set it up again.

I have win 2010 outlook; on the left side under Outlook Data File>Inbox, (does not show any received mail> Drafts,> Sent, etc; the sent folder does not show any emails that I have sent, deleted emails go to my gmail Trash folder, and do not appear in the Deleted folder under the Data File
Then under that my gmail address > Inbox, Gmail > Junk Mail etc, there is no Deleted folder.
I would like to strighten this up, how can I get rid of this redundence and have deleted emails get into my Outlook, Sent emails get into the Sent folder and have just one set of folders?
Here a look at my gmail settings note that the setting to wait for the client to update gmail is selected:
That way outlook has the power to move and delete and place the mail wherever you want it from outlook: :)
tapuz, the following information in this link from Gmail might explain things:

Return to the Microsoft Office Main Menu, then you will see the New Thread button on the top left-hand side. :)
