MS Word 2003 - corrupting normal.dot

    MS Word 2003 - corrupting normal.dot


    Lately I am having an issue opening Word docs on my W7 64 bit Professional lap top.

    When attempting to open a .doc file, I receive the following errors :


    MS Word 2003 - corrupting normal.dot-word-error1.jpg

    MS Word 2003 - corrupting normal.dot-word-error2.jpg

    I have attempted repairing, uninstall/re-install, and finally deleting the normal.dot file.
    Deleting the normal.dot file works for ONE doc to be opened but after I close and try to re-open Word, I get the same error.

    Any ideas on what to try next or what the problem may be ?
