    Word 2010 smart quotes

    Hi,

The smart quotes works, sort of. Opening quotes are like '66', but so are the closing ones. They should be like '99'.

Anybody else come across this yet?

    TIA

I found out what the problem was. I basically found a character that messes up smart quotes. I was writing a technical article, and placed a '-' (en dash?) in quotes, with and without spaces and it produced the issue. No other character exhibited the problem.

    Language was UK English.

After a bit of testing, I cannot find another character that affects quotes in this manner.

Nice bit of sleuthing, Dilbert. :)
