search won't find Outlook 2003 emails

I'm running Window 7 Home Premium 32bit upgraded from Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a Toshiba Satellite A205. Vista indexed Outlook 2003 PST files just fine and it worked great-one of my favorite features on Vista. After the upgrade, 7 can't find the emails but does find everything else. I had to install a 3rd party desktop search, Exalead, which works fine but it's a little slow. Any ideas? Thanks

    Hi Niveusgaiu, Welcome to SF,

Do you have like Google Apps or any other third party search application installed ?? Try to add "*" before the Keyword that used to work lot of times.

    Hope this helps,

    Win7 search is useless

I installed Google Desktop. I used it with XP and it works very well.
Vista search on the start menu works great. It opens a window showing everything it finds sorted by file type. Win7 finds files and sorts by category but it puts the same files in all categories, music, video, data, etc. They completely screwed it up and should have just left it alone. There are numerous changes in Win7 that are just busy work for the engineers. They changed things for something to do and then called it better. Windows is one of life's little annoyances that will eventually be replaced-soon, I hope.
    Thanks for responding.
