2000 Backwards Compatibility

Looks like a bit of a war beginning here. It is true - Office 2007 (I have tried it) and 2010 allow graphics to be implemented much more easily and tries to make using graphics as easy and flexible as using text.

Also, for business purposes I am looking at checking out Outlook & Access. I understand that the former comes with Home & Student but the latter does not. I also need at least 2 and preferable 3 user licenses. So Riser, can you link to a page which shows that Office 2010 Pro has two user licenses? That would be very helpful.

It's great you are so happy with Office 2010 and 7. At last, someone gets exactly what they need. By the way, I never said "Screw Windows 7!". Yes it's a good OS but is it so much better then XP? I see you picked up on the $199 offer. Investigate thoroughly; there are restrictions.

Hmm... pricing is completely useless to me. I'm operating in GBP, not USD. Also Riser, as for upgrading to 7 I would say that most people get it pre-installed with their computer anyway. So there it's definitely worth it.

Hi there, i have been reading this thread with interest, i have office 2000 and it will not work
with windows 7 - well word wont it starts up and just hangs there then i get not responding.

I am not into the tech side of things - just an ordinary bod who needed to upgrade PC - i dont want to
pay out $$$ for office 2007/10 and i have a lot of stuff on disc for 2000.

so anyone knows how to get this to work and post some guidance ( in very,very simple terms.

i would be forever grateful
