Can't reinstall Microsoft office home and student 2007

    Hello all.

Im having an annoying problem with msoffice today. I notice many of the icons and functions of office begin to not show/work, so i decide to uninstall and reinstall it. But when i went to uninstall it, i got errors, leaving the uninstall incomplete. I ended up using the windows uninstall cleaner or something similar and got rid of it. When it still wasn't gone i found a tut online and removed several registry keys. After that i was pretty sure the program in its entirety would be gone. Now.. when i try to reinstall it, i get the error shown in this picture..

so i did what it asked and gave full permission for that key in regedit. But when i tried to install it again, same error.

i really have no idea what to do next here, i kinda need these programs for school.

it would be wonderful if anyone can offer any ideas.

    thanks

Looks like you messed up playing with the registry keys. I assume you have backed up the registry before tampering with them. Just reimport those keys. Else try to set back to an early restore point and start anew. Maybe this helps: How to manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature
