Office 2003 orporate Key With OEM Disk

    Hi,

Would anyone know if an Office 2003 Pro corporate activation key can be used to activate an installation from an OEM Office 2003 Pro disk ?

    Thx

Nope, OEM needs an OEM key.

    Hi Auld Bint,
Do you have a legitimate corp key? In that case you can simply get the media i.e. the disk (borrow from employer or friend, see if you can find a download), install it, then use the key. It is the key that determines the license. As long as you have a good key, the source of the media is not important.

    Bill2,

Yes, I have a genuine corporate key and I have a genuine OEM Office 2003 disk. What I wish to do if possible is to use the OEM disk for the installation then when prompted for the product ID, instead of using the OEM key, use the corporate key. The OEM key is legitimate, as is the corporate key.

However, I am a bit confused now as "z3r010" indicated in their reply that only an OEM key would activate an install from an OEM disk whereas you seem to be indicating that is not the case and that a corporate key will activate an install from an OEM disk ?

    Thx for any help

Corp keys are only accepted by corp media.

Your oem disc will not accept the corp key, go ahead and try it, it will not work.

    Auld Bint,
Everybody here is right. Office keys are edition specific so you'll need a VLK key to activate a corp install, OEM key to activate an OEM install and so on. What i meant was that
    1) If you have a legit corp key and are only missing the disk, get hold of a corp disk, then install and activate with your corp key.
    2) If you have an OEM key, get hold of an OEM disk (or vice versa, IDK what exactly you have).
