    Office 2007 and a Dell Dimension E521

Okay, so my friend's computer was on the fritz and I had to re-install Vista for her. The thing is, Office 2007 came with it but I can't find any discs. It can't be a trial version because she's had it for years. I'm guessing she lost the OEM disc. Either that or she never got one in the first place. I have the service number and the product key for the comp. Is there a means to get a replacement disc. Would Dell give her a replacement disc if I were to call?

You can download a trial version and apply the key. But you have to choose the same distro to which the key applies (e.g. Home and Student). Just google it.

What if they can't find the key? Or would it be on the sticker with all the numbers, such as the service number or product key? Would the number be the same as the one that works on Vista?

The product key is a 25 digit combination of numbers and letters. It works on all operating systems. It is an office key, not an OS key. But if you cannot find the office product key, you are out of luck and have to buy a new office package.

If she purchased Office with the PC, you can request backup discs from HERE.
