To me doesn't look nice at all.
My Favorite is actually Offfice 2003 which you can customize a lot to look exactly how you wanted.

Office 2007 has "Limited" customisation -- I prefer the BLACK toolbar etc

Done from the Big round file button in any application of 2007 . For example click the EXCEL options from the file button and you've got only 3 choices - Blue Silver or Black. Changing this in EXCEL (or other office app changes iot in the others as well).

Office 2003 had loads more options (but more complex to fiddle with of course).

I suppose there's always a trade off between "customiseability" and "Useability" -- but some times I think they just "Dumb it down" too much to keep it simple for the masses.

    Cheers

    I have 07 and a black toolbar JimMicrosoft Office 2010 Screenshots-toolbar.black.jpg

well, charcoal grey to be more precise. I too like 03, but i'm trying to upgrade my fashion

Edit: I dont see the big who-haa on office 10. Audio emails? The face of it all looks lot like 07. So in 3 years of possible development, this is all they have to show for it? Video and audio emails are and have been available for quite some time now. Maybe i'm missing something again.

The Exchange enhancements (the 3 I saw) look cool. Since admining the Exchange servers is one of my many hats, I'm looking forward to it.

Is someone at Microsoft truly trying to make life complicated? Why don't they go the whole hog and make the toolbar stretch from the top of the screen right to the bottom...I'm sure they could find another 5000 buttons to add to it....geez!!

I'm tempted to drop my (expensive) Office 2007 as it's bad enough. Give me the simplicity of Works anytime. I can always add bits, such as Powerpoint and Excel.
I suppose for professionals all that complication may mean something, but it's lost on me, sorry.

I like the blue gui on 2007 compared to 2010.

I agree, 2007 looks better. You know I really miss the older versions where the accent was on Wizards, which in turn would present the alternative formats, fonts etc. These toolbars are totally confusing to me at least. I just don't have the patience to wade through them.
