HELP - Find Command in Word is on a blank screen?

    Dear experts -

I'm in desparate need of assistance - I'm in word, execute the 'FIND' command and it puts it on a blank screen and does not display my document where it find the search object.

What is the setting I need to set - I'm confused and very concerned. My powerpoint and excel work fine.

Thanks for any and all clues to this mystery.

    Regards,
    Joan

At any time while you are working in a Word document, press Ctrl+F. It will bring up the find box for you.

    Hope I helped!

This is a Windows 7 Discussion Forum, you more likely find your answers in an XP forum.
