Upgraded Vista -Win7 now crashing Outlook 2003

    Hi
I upgraded from Vista to Win7 and receive regular updates from MS. Since the upgrade when I open Outlook 2003 it starts downloading emails and ½ way through it crashes. Typically I need to run - detect and repair a few x [restore my shortcuts while restoring].
Additionally, i set up sub folders / rules and they don’t seem to be running properly - It started at the same time so i think they are related issues. Can you help me please - SOS.
    Thanks

thanks for your reply - Can you help with this part - I already have SP3 installed so im a little unclear on my next steps. Cause i have 64 bit and his rec is to reinstall it with the 32 bit - will that screw me up later on/ Especially regarding “reinstalled my settings via control panels Mail (32bit)”. Where do I find or do this?

I believe the suggestion is to delete my customized settings and try reinstalling SP3. Will that change everything back to the original settings ie : font – signatures. Will it also delete the add ins ?

I would like to recreate my settings as best as possible – is there anyway to get a master list on what these changes are – or can I save it into another file then import it back later on after I try and reinstall the SP-3.

TBH, thing like signature and stuff you may not be able to salvage, cannot remember - but this should not affect the *add-ins* because you're installing SP3 over itself. Deleting the settings in the Mail Control panel object should be the same regardless of 32-bit versus 64-bit Windows, b/c Outlook 2003 itself is still 32-bit.

For some info on backing up at least some of your info, take a look at these links:

Export account settings in Outlook <-- this may nto apply as it is for Outlook 2000, but it may, so check it out)
