    Outlook 2010: Attachment question

    All,

I received and email today which seems to have an attachment. In the InBox folder, I see a paper clip and a size of 525 kB. The file is from a trusted source and would be a Word file. However, when I open the message, the attachment bar is not displayed and File->Save Attachments is also not available.

When I look at properties under the file menu, it shows the size as 60 kB, i.e., no attachment.

    What's going on?

It may just be corrupted. Have you ask them to resend it?

Don't think that that is the problem:

    1. The person to whom the message was cc'ed was able to open the attachment
    2. I had two cases like this earlier this week, but attributed the problem to the fact that those were sent from an iPad. It looks like the problem may be on the receiving end...

I presume you tried the outlook repair option?

Since running scanpst is relatively benign, I went a head and tried it, but the pst file was fine.
