    Security Updates for Office 2007 Fail to Install

    I have a Windows 7 HP and there are currently 8 updates for my 2007 Office system.

    ============================
    Some updates were not installed

    Failed: 8 updates

    Error(s) found:
    Code 646
    ============================

    How can this be corrected so that the updates will install successfully?

    Hi codyw & welcome,

    Have you checked why they were not installed?

    1. Via Windows Update > View update history. > double click on the relevant 'Failed' update.

    2. Via Event Viewer > Windows logs > Application > Look for red or yellow messages re the failed updates. Double click to read.

    Please fill in your System Specs too. [User CP > Your Control panel > Your profile > Edit System Specs.]

    Thanks.
