Send to Onenote 2010 does not work

A real tough one....The Send to Onenote 2010 is supposed to work on Windows 7-64 machines. The "button" is available only after going to "help" from within Onenote 2010 but does not show up using IE8 any other time. Before I reformat and reinstall Windows 7-64, does anyone know what I have done wrong? The version of Office 2010 is the Click-To-Run version which is also the downloaded version. I assume it is also 32 bit.

Right click on menu bar>customize> and then select whatever you want.
If this doesn't help do a search "Onenote" in upper right corner for your question/ answer.

Someone posted this in Onenote 2010

I ended up checking the box in word (options > trust center settings > privacy options > download a file periodically..) and then voila, it worked. no need to get the new version as my 07 still works great
    Hope I have helped.

Here is a question looking for a gold star answer. I reinstalled Windows 7-64 Pro which cleared up some small problems. "Send to Onenote 2010" and "Onenote linked notes" are both listed on tool bar but ONLY when I start a browsing session with Onenote 2010 itself and then clicking on a web button within the program. If I keep browsing at that point, whether it be news or Windows 7 web sites, "Send to Onenote" is available. If I start the browsing session with any other site, i.e. Google or Bing, the Send to Onenote is not available. Why is this?
