I think I'll keep the IMAP as it is and won't use the POP3 setting. I hope this will be fixed soon. In Gmail settings there's no option for keeping accessed emails as unread for IMAP so I guess when ever an email is downloaded, it's marked as read and the second computer won't see it.
Review your settings to see if you have outlook deleting the headers off the server after you log off.

I didn't find such settings. Can you please specify where should I look?

I think what you plan to do is a good idea until a solid solution becomes available. I literally scoured the web and could not find any work around. Once that header is downloaded it appears to be unavailable. With that said, if you really need the headers on BOTH computers with zero exception, I would try to use Thunderbird on the laptop instead. At the very least, simply to experiment if you can get the headers that way.

Thunderbird x86

Thunderbird x64

It certainly can't hurt to see if it's Gmail or Outlook and by using a different email client you will know for sure which is the issue. I'm really curious as to the outcome of such experiment!

I'm a big Thunderbird fan myself, so don't take this as me trying to talk you out of BugOutMachine's excellent suggestion.

If you want or need Outlook for any reason, double-check this:

File>>Account Settings>>(select the account)>>click Change>>More Settings. Then look on the Advanced tab and see what you have in the "Delivery" area.

Thunderbird has several calendar add-ons, but I'm not all that familiar with them. I use the companion program Sunbird. Sorry, but I've never tried synching it with a different computer.

I have been tempted many times to go with the Google calendar. Being web-based you could check your stuff anywhere from any machine. The reason I hesitate is that I rely heavily on Sunbird's event reminders and I'm not sure how I would deal with that with the browser closed.

Before I found Sunbird I used Thunderbird for email and Outlook solely for its calendar. This was easily done by disabling the email accounts in Outlook.

Hi. There's no such thing as Delivery or something that resembles that. I did notice though that outlook 2010 won't save the settings for "do not save outgoing messages on this computers". Since it's an IMAP configuration, what ever I send from Gmail, will be saved in the sent items folder of Gmail anyway so I don't need this duplicate thing but once again, it's hard to expect from Microsoft to make near-perfect softwares... I'm switching to MAC

Google Calendar is actually a fantastic service, especially with the sharing capabilities. When I log into my Google Account I can see my parents, sister and girlfriends schedule and they can see mine. Excellent for small businesses and collaboration!

Gil: Download Thunderbird and read this brief article about something called the Lightning Project which allows you to sync a calendar with Outlook and Thunderbird. You need to follow the article authors instructions.
