    Can't run Outlook 2007 in windows 7

    Dear all,

I was using Outlook 2007 in Windows XP and it was working fine.

I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 and installed Outlook 2007, after installation, it asked me to configure the pop, smtp..... and I did. Then when I tried to use it, this message pops up "Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe Vbscript.dll to self register."

I've tried running cmd then typed regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll (as per suggestions fm other threads) and it says successful but Outlook 2007 still wouldn't open.

    Please help.

One trick that often works with Outlook is to type:

    outlook.exe /resetnavpane

in the "Run" box (it actually says "Search programs and files") that you access by clicking the Windows Orb. Note the space between the exe and the /

Then hit Enter, and see if Outlook starts OK.

You could also try running the regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll command from the Run box too, if resetnavpane doesn't work.

    :)

    Download details: Outlook Hotmail Connector

I had same problem when I went from Vista HP 32bit to Win7 32 bit.
Was advised to download this connector

    Dear all,

    Thank you for your reply.

I've tried all of the above method and it still doesn't work. I've uninstalled Outlook 2007 and reinstalled Outlook 2003, it works. So I insert the CD and tried to install Outlook 2007 again, same thing happened. I can see all the features in outlook and windows update even told me to download update related to outlook (e.g. Spam mail criteria.....) so it is in the computer but it just wouldn't work. Pls. help.

    I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Run your AV again along with Malware free program listed in security.
Get your computer nice and clean and then try install 2007.
