    Bitrate question

What would be a good bitrate to keep a 1080p movie at or under 8GB, and still have it

    1. Be better quality then the 1080i bitrate via xFinity cable box

    2. Play clearly with 1GB GDDR3 graphics card in 1080p.

Good quality would be Variable rate with a max of 16000kbps
The size of the video depends on its duration, of course, and its bitrate. Lower the bit rate and you can fit more video in but you will loose quality. Small reductions will not notice but the only sure way is trial and error.

Sorry don't know what xFinity cable box is, never heard of it.

The above mentioned bitrate would be fine!
