    after saving picture from internet

looked around and could not find an answer to this so I joined to see if I could get an answer.

when I save a pictue from the internet to my picture folder, and then go to look at it, it is not there, only the name. when I click on it another box open and asks what file I want to use to open the picture. I pick "windows photo viewer" but the box marked always use the slected program to open this file is grayed out. so I must always open it this way each time. the security for the folder is all allowed. I also can not print the picture.

What extension are you saving it as? Also can you see it in the "public" folder?

Go back to the internet, find the same picture, right click on it, save and read the extension to where you saved it.
Save the picture in a folder where you can find it.

believed I found the problem, I was changing the name when I saved the picture. so I saved it with the name the link gave it and it saved fine. Then I changed the name after is was on the hard drive. worked.

I've noticed that on Firefox (And probably IE too), you can just drag the picture off the browser and drop it on the desktop. That works for me.
