    YouTube "Original" quality option


    I heard about this a little while ago but just now, I stumbled upon the first video I had ever seen have an "Original" option after 1080p. (The resolution was 1920*1200, so no big difference there - but my monitor's still technically too small for it).

    Just thought I'd share in case anyone else wanted to see an example of it. Here's the video:

    I don't use games on my PC but these "original" settings will only be available for You Tube entries that show screencaptures. The different resolutions shown are, of course, relevant to the resolution of the monitor from which the screen was captured probably something like Fraps was used.
    If they are high def video clips from a camcorder the highest they will show will be 1920 x1080pxs

    if it actually let you play the original video rather than the original resolution, these videos would be fantastic, it's youtube's compression that lets it down

I spent some time searching the forums but did not find any post that answered my question so I am starting a new thread. Windows Explorer is changing my original file's date when I do a drag-and-drop copy operation. I would like to know how I can tell Win7 to not change the original file date.
Is anyone else seeing this? I've seen one other person mention it on Twitter, and I don't know whether or not it's a glitch on YouTube's end. It's happening on both my PC and my laptop, in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Hello, I'm wondering if there is a way to alter this functionality a bit. When I copy and overwrite a file, I'd love an option that basically did this: "Move, but keep both files - The file you are overwriting will be renamed filenamehere(1).jpg" Is there any way to do this?
