    WinRar.

So, I have a video file which is 1.6GB.
I have archived it with Winrar, so it got 1.4GB.

Then I have archived that rar, and now it is 240Mb.
Is this even possible... will it go corrupt when extracted?

I think that you can only squash it so far. If you go into Winrar and archive something, set the compression ratio . I don't think there is any point putting Rar inside rar. :)

Well, I do see a point.

Because, the main Rar was 1.4GB.
And when I rar'ed that, it became 240MB

Wow, I just unpacked it, and it worked o.o..

Seriously, I'm able to make a 240MB file from 1.6Gb, thats awesome.

I extracted it, everything is working perfectly.

I tried my some of my music, was like 1GB, went to 150MB.
Extracted it too, and it works fine too.

Just wondering. Did you actually try what I said? Or are you just putting Rar inside Rar?
