Windows 7: Is there seriously no way to stop Pictures from loading in WMP?

I suppose the next question would be, why would you be accessing your pictures in WMP then? Why not the Photo Gallery, or something of the sort?

You'll just have to access your pictures under your user name, instead of in Libraries.

In WMP, just to go Organize -> Customize navigation pane. When a new window opens, uncheck "Pictures".
WMP will still load them, I believe, but at least you won't have to be bugged by even seeing it in WMP, and this way you can still use the Library feature in Windows.
i also had wmp freezing while updating my pictures, both of these posts combined seem to be the cure.

EDIT:here is a thread with the best fix ever, keep your libraries intact, and stop wmp from indexing them. best of all, its on this forum, damn i love this place. (see post #4)
