    How can I play movies from thru my laptop on my TV?


    I need help I have a LG TV LD 450 type and a HP laptop Pavillion dv7-316dx Entertainement notebook. How can I play movies from thru my laptop on my TV? (P.S. I am not very tech smart so please explain very detailed and no abbreviations)

    This quote is from lg ld450 forum...


    If you have a PC or laptop near the tv you can just plug in via VGA, and set the resolution from the display settings in windows...(right click desktop - properties - settings)

    You might need to enable "tv-out" if its a laptop (usually a function key near f2,f2,f3 etc) to get the laptop to output to the tv and not the laptop screen.

    Whats VGA is that a port on laptop and TV and is there a cable?

    yeah have a look on the tv for the port and on the laptop.or check both manuals.
    the cable you will have to purchase i would guess
    if you dont have the manuals try going to the manufacturers website for them.

    good point the laptop spec says it has hdmi, as does the tv
