    Video Thumbnails missing


    My thumb nails for every file format is just the generic video file icon. This is very very annoying when trying to video edit. If you have a solution for just the .MTS file type that would help ALOT.

    Hello Brandon,

    The MTS download in the tutorial below may be able to help. It will restore the default associations for it in Windows 7.

Hello, I'm new to Windows 7, and a Google search lead me to this site, as you had apparently helped somebody with a similar problem as mine. I have a folder full of shortcuts to .jpg files, and I am trying to view that folder as "extra large icons." However, I am unable to see the thumbnails...
My thumbnails usually have a "screen cap" of what the video is. Now, it just look like this (see attachment below). It's only with my videos that I'm having this problem with. And, it's not just "some" videos that doesn't have a thumbnail, it's all of them. What can I do to fix this? 206680

I've been having this problem since I upgraded from Vista to 7: The video border for the thumbnails is showing up strangely, as you can see in the picture. I can still tell what the files are but it's starting to get annoying. I looked all over google and found no answers. can anyone help? ...
