    WMP12 Playlist Frustration

In previous version you used to be able to be in library view and have a playlist open on the right. You could double click a song to listen to it on the left, decide if you want it in the playlist you're creating and if so, drag it over to the right. Now when you double click a song a new unsaved playlist of every song in your library view is created making it very frustrating to create a playlist.

I've seen people talk about the problem but I haven't seen any solutions. Anyone found one?

Load the playlist to the right and use the "preview song" feature on the left in the library view to preview a song by hovering your cursor over it. If you want to add it to the playlist no double clicking, just drag&drop it

I'm aware of that possibility but it's not suitable for my purpose.

There is no other solution as it is not the problem to begin with. And it is perfectly suitable for editing already existing playlists. That's just the way WMP12 works.

I understand that's the way WMP12 works. That's why I'm looking for a solution to the problem.

You can always downgrade to WMP11. Check the tutorial section to find out how.
