softened HD video with MS Lifecam Cinema?

do i need an HD monitor to properly see the HD videos shot on a MS Lifecam Cinema HD webcam?

when i shoot an HD video, its got soft spots (best way i can describe) all over it....

i have latest updates for the device.... as well i have .NET turned on fully as BRINK described here: Lifecam Cinema HD not compatible because my computer is too powerful?

    thoughts?

here is a screengrab (SNIPPY!) , the camera is mounted outside the window......

From the snip I can clearly see that the image isn't even nearly sharp enough. "Micro snow" as you describe it sounds like "noise" to me which makes the pics look even uglier if the cam always produces such "blurry" results.

If the software for the device works properly, there has to be a setting that could change it. This is purely speculation on my side.

well, i'm NOT going to fuss over the soft videos anymore.....WHY?...they remind me of the 1970's Black Sabbath videos....

    good one

You know, you can always use post processing or re-encode files to a smaller size (if you don't care too much about HD) and use AviSynth scripts to sharpen the video frames and remove noise.
