"Play All" link does not work

    Hi again,

this is my second thread here :)

    Problem:

The "play all" link at the top of the Windows Explorer does not do anything.

I would find this very useful instead of highlighting all music files and press "play in WMP"

How to make this work as intended?

    Thanks again.
    Regards
    Kyle

Your files are associated with foobar, therefore the default "play all action" would be to load all the files in foobar, not WMP. The feature works fine, but if you want to use WMP to play music, you need to select it as the default media player for music, and since you already have foobar installed, what's the point? :)

my mistake, yeah foobar is my default for audio only.

Does "Play all" only work with WMP?

It should work with foobar as well IF you used "Normal install" instead of "Portable"... As I read in the setup, "Portable install" mode doesn't allow file associations...

If you do have a portable install you can reinstall it in normal mode, then take ownership of the Program Files folder so you can install skins (if you use any).

I just tested it with a Blur album with Foobar2000 and yes it does work, loads up pretty quick too.

Off topic a bit, but loading depends on if and what type of skin is installed, as well as additional components like last.fm scrobbling option for the latest foobar version. With last.fm the loading of foobar depended on my internet speed, so whenever I was downloading something and opening foobar at the same time, the player would take as much as 30 seconds to respond (clicking around would just crash it xD), other times it wouldn't load album art. So I disabled that and now it loads just fine. Who needs last.fm anyway, I grew bored of it xD
