Help with this MKV file

I downloaded a MKV video (anime)
And then when I was gonna move it to my external, it just stays at trying to locate the file.
Then when I thought it was busted, I tried to delete it. Then it stayed at preparing to delete. FOREVER...

So whats up with the file anyway?... How do I get rid of it?..
I can still play it but can't move it from there... I can copy but can't replace... And the copied file can be deleted. Can't rename or change the extension either. Oh, and can't open file properties. So any change made to the file is impossible

please help!

EDIT: And also, I've tried restarting my computer but still can't delete it.

Boot up into Safe Mode and delete it from there.

The most likely cause of this issue is the installation of free software from divx.com

Un friggin' believable! Since yesterday I was experiencing the same thing. Trying to move mkv's and they were always in use (same for renaming). Luckely I have Unlocker installed so I could disconnect any processes in use for the mkv's. When I opened Unlocker I saw a list of like 30+ explorer.exe processes using it. I released them and then I could rename them. Then had to do the same to move them but this is a tedious work. Yesterday I rebooted my PC after a very long time (always use hibernate normally) and that's when the problem started. Now, I've been looking up this problem and luckely came here because shark007 is spot on! I think DivX downloaded an update some time a go and now after the reboot...
Just deleted DivX and problem is gone

No more DivX for me... lol

Thx shark!!
(And thx again for making such nice codec packages)

EDIT: cheered too soon... Problem came back
However I did reset shark's codecs and then loaded "suggested settings".
Could this suddenly re-enabled the problem? Maybe some DivX codec causing it?
I have no clue...

Any other suggestions?

EDIT2: Disabled mkv thumbnails in shark's codecs and problem seems to be gone... *holding my breath though*
BTW: Shark if you ever read this, I made a small donation through your website for the help/software.

The DivX software is also part of my installation but I give you control over its functionality on the MKV TAB. You can disable it there. Many people require it to playback MKV's on their xbox360's.

For those choosing to install DivX with the official installer, the only option to control it, is to remove it.

Thanks for the donation!
