    weird library problem

    Hi..
I recently noticed that when I try to open a music or a video file from any of the libraries folders, WMP just opens up and doesn't play anything.. with the play button non-clickable.
BUT, if I went to those directories manually from my computer (not through the libraries) the files open up and play with no problems!...
also If I tried opening the files via the libraries but with another program than WMP it works fine...

I tried, deleting and restoring the libraries and no dice..

also, in any save-as dialog, clicking on any of the libraries on the left navigation, appears empty on the right..

how can I fix those issues..?

    Hi,
How exactly did you do this?

Check this easy tutorial and try this approach if you haven't used it yet.

    thanks for your reply..
I really don't have a problem with playing any media files from WMP12 library itself (from inside WMP)
in fact, double clicking any music track inside WMP plays fine..

the problem is if I opened libraries in windows explorer, and then navigate to music library or any other library containing audio or video files and double clicking them, opens up WMP and just nothing happenes...

BUT If I navigate to those files from My Computer through the real directories, and double clicking them, they open WMP and plays fine..

    you get me?
it seams that WMP does not play any file if I navigated to it through libraries.

and I feel that this issue is connected to my other problem, which is; in save as or open windows, when I choose the libraries, they appear empty.
so I think there is something wrong with libraries itself...

    True, thank you for clarifying.
Unfortunately, I personally have no idea what's causing the problem. Perhaps it's better to wait for another member to reply 'cause I wouldn't want to just poke around the dark.
